We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
