Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
