The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human being 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
