He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and in awe [of God] 9 You neglect. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 fruits, and grass. 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
