Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 They used to say before: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
