Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
