It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason. 12 On the earth He has fashioned for you objects of various hues: there is certainly a sign in that for people who pay heed. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; and they do not know when they will be raised (to life). 21
