Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And therein raising dust. 4 dividing the gathering. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
