The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
