The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
