It is God who has created ears, eyes, and hearts for you. Little are the thanks that you give. 78 And He it is Who spread you on the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 But they say the same as the ancients said, 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 Our fathers and we have been given such promises before. These are no more than ancient legends." 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" 85 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 'Allah' they will reply. Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched' 89 Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 He has the knowledge of all seen and unseen things. He is too exalted to be considered equal to anything else. 92
