The believing man said, "My people, follow me and I shall show you the right guidance. 38 O people, the life of this world is ephemeral; but enduring is the abode of the Hereafter. 39 "He that works evil will not be requited but by the like thereof: and he that works a righteous deed - whether man or woman - and is a Believer- such will enter the Garden (of Bliss): Therein will they have abundance without measure. 40 ۞ "And O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire! 41 you call me to deny Allah and to associate with Him as His partners those regarding whom I have no knowledge (that they are Allah's partners in His Divinity), whereas I call you to the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving? 42 Without doubt ye only call me unto that which is not to be invoked in the world nor in the Hereafter; and verily our return shall be unto God, and the extravagant; they shall be fellows of the Fire. 43 You will remember what I say to you. To Allah I commit my affair, surely, Allah sees His worshipers' 44 So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment - 45 The Fire! They are exposed thereto morning and evening. And on the Day whereon the Hour will uprise, it will be said: cause the family of Fir'awn to enter the most grievous torment. 46 And when they will quarrel amongst themselves in the fire, those who were weak will say to those who sought greatness, “We were your followers, so will you reduce from us some of the punishment of the fire?” 47 But those who were proud will reply: 'All of us are in it (Hell). Allah has judged between His worshipers' 48 And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna, 'Call on your Lord, to lighten for us one day of the chastisement!' 49 They shall say, 'Did not your Messengers bring you the clear signs?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed.' They shall say, 'Then do you call!' But the calling of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
