Nay! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to humans, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills?
