Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 in a garden sublime, 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
