The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
