And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. 90 [But] they answered: "By no means shall we cease to worship it until Moses comes back to us!" 91 Musa said: O Harun! what prevented thee, when thou sawest them going astray. 92 “That you did not come after me? So did you disobey my order?” 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 (Moses) said: And what hast thou to say, O Samiri? 95 He answered: "I have gained insight into something which they were unable to see: and so I took hold of a handful of the Apostle's teachings and cast it away: for thus has my mind prompted me [to act]." 96 'Begone! Your lot in this life is to cry: "untouchable!' said he (Moses). 'An appointment awaits you that you cannot fail to keep. Look at your god which you clung to indeed we will burn it and scatter its ashes upon the sea' 97 Your god is only God. There is no other god but He. His knowledge extends over everything." 98 THUS DO WE relate unto thee some of the stories of what happened in the past; and [thus] have We vouchsafed unto thee, out of Our grace, a reminder. 99 Whoever disregards (the Quran) will be heavily burdened with sin on the Day of Judgment 100 therein abiding forever; how evil upon the Day of Resurrection that burden for them! 101 The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed. 102 Whispering to one another: "You have tarried but ten days." 103 We know well what they will say when the most upright among them will say: "You did not tarry more than a day." 104
