Is he whose chest Allah has expanded to Islam, so that he walks upon a light from his Lord (as those whose heart is sealed)? But woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the Remembrance of Allah! Those are in clear error. 22 Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 23 Can he who will have to shield himself against the torment of the Day of Resurrection (be the same as one at peace)? The evil-doers will be told: "So taste what you earned." 24 Those before them belied, and so the torment came on them from directions they perceived not. 25 So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life, but greater is the torment of the Hereafter if they only knew! 26 And indeed We have put forth for men, in this Quran every kind of similitude in order that they may remember. 27 [It is] an Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance that they might become righteous. 28 Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know. 29 Verily you will die, and so will they. 30 Then you will dispute before your Lord on the Day of Resurrection. 31
