Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" 39 Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” 43 In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
