The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the Calamity? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 but he whose weight is light in the Scale, 8 the Abyss shall be his home. 9 How will you comprehend what that is? 10 It is a burning Fire. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
