The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 who give charity, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
