Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
