Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Indubitable? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 which He let loose upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession; so that (if you had been there) you might have seen people lying prostrate, as though they were uprooted trunks of hollowed palm trees. 7 Now dost thou see any remnant of them? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 When a single blow is blown on the Horn, 13 And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash, 14 on that Day, the Event occurs. 15 The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail. 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 so he will live in a state of Bliss 21 In an elevated garden, 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 Nor known whatever was my reckoning! 26 I wish death had put an end to me. 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37
