Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 What do you comprehend by the concrete reality? 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death,] as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees: 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 Pharoah and those before him and the inhabitants of the overthrown cities persistently committed grave sins. 9 And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. 10 We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me! 25 and not known my reckoning! 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 which none but the sinners eat!" 37
