Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
