The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when souls are united, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
