And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
