In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
