۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 Had We wanted, We could have made the angels as your successors on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed. 62 And when Eisa came to them with clear signs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to explain to you some of the matters regarding which you dispute; therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
