And indeed, [in times long past] We sent forth Noah unto his people, and he dwelt among them a thousand years bar fifty; and then the floods overwhelmed them while they were still lost in evildoing: 14 And We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made of it a portent for the peoples. 15 Tell of Abraham. He said to his people, "Worship God and fear Him, that would be best for you, if only you knew. 16 You only worship, other than Allah, idols and invent falsehoods. Those whom you worship, other than Allah, have no power to give you provision. Therefore seek the provision of Allah, and worship Him. Give thanks to Him, to Him you shall return' 17 If you reject the truth, other communities before you also rejected the truth. The messenger's responsibility is only to convey the message clearly." 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Say: 'Travel in the land and see how He started the Creation. Then Allah will originate the Everlasting Life. Allah has power over all things. 20 chastising whom He will, and having mercy on whomsoever He will, and unto Him you shall be turned. 21 And you shall not escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and you have neither a protector nor a helper besides Allah. 22
