And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 These men do say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
