Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
