Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
