Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
