And said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people and belied the meeting of the Hereafter and whom We had luxuriated in the life of the world: this is no other than a human being like unto you; he eateth of that whereof ye eat, and he drinketh of that which ye drink. 33 If ye were to obey a mortal like yourselves, then, lo! ye surely would be losers. 34 Does he promise you that when you die and have become dust and bones, that you will be brought forth again? 35 ۞ Far-fetched, utterly far-fetched is what you are being promised. 36 There is nothing but our present life; we die, and we live, and we shall not be raised up. 37 He is nothing but a man who has forged against Allah a lie, we will never believe him' 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 He replied: 'Before long, by the morning, they shall be remorseful' 40 Then the shout laid hold of them in truth, and We made them a refuse; so away with the wrong-doing people! 41 After them We brought another generation into existence. 42 No community can anticipate their term, nor can they lay behind. 43 Then We sent Our apostles one after another; whenever there came to a people their apostle, they called him a liar, so We made some of them follow others and We made them stories; so away with a people who do not believe! 44 We then sent Moosa and his brother Haroon, with Our signs and a clear proof. 45 unto Pharaoh and his Council; but they waxed proud, and they were a lofty people, 46 So they said: shall we believe in two human beings like unto us, while their nation are to us slaves? 47 So they denied them therefore became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We verily gave Moses the Scripture, that haply they might go aright. 49 And We made Mary's son, and his mother, a Sign, and We gave them refuge on a lofty ground, a peaceful site with springs flowing in it. 50

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
