Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
