The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. THESE ARE MESSAGES of the Qur'an - a divine writ clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers 2 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 3 We have made the deeds of those who do not believe in the life to come, attractive to them and they wander about blindly. 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.' 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 Thrust thy hand in thy bosom and it will come forth white without evil-among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are an ungodly people.' 12 So when Our clear signs came to them, they said: This is clear enchantment. 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
