Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
