Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging, 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Do you now see any trace of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 Then when the Horn is blown with one blast 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, 15 The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail. 16 and will turn frail, losing all force. The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 so he will live in a state of Bliss 21 in a lofty Garden 22 Whereof the clusters are in easy reach. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 But as for him whose record shall be placed in his left hand, he will exclaim: "Oh, would that I had never been shown this my record, 25 And not known my account! 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37
