Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
