The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
