Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
