The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 Who will be honoured 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On lined couches, 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water everflowing. 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And raised couches; 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
