Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 Warn the men. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
