The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
