SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
