Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
