Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
