Al-Mulk 2 of 2
He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead). 15 Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion. 16 Do you feel secure that the One in heaven will not send against you a whirlwind to pelt you with stones, so that you will know how [true] My warning was? 17 Those before them had also denied. And how was My punishment then! 18 Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything. 19 Or which army do you have that will help you against the Most Gracious? The disbelievers are in nothing except an illusion. 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism). 22 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He it is who gave you being, and hath assigned unto you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 23 Say: "It is He who has multiplied you on earth; and it is unto Him that you shall be gathered [on resurrection]." 24 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 25 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; and I am only a plain warner." 26 When they see the torment approaching, the faces of the disbelievers will blacken and they will be told, "This is what you wanted to (experience)". 27 Say (O Muhammad): Have ye thought: Whether Allah causeth me (Muhammad) and those with me to perish or hath mercy on us, still, who will protect the disbelievers from a painful doom? 28 Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error." 29 Say, "Have you not thought that if your water was to dry up, who would bring you water from the spring?" 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
