Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
