He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 To him you give attention. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and in awe [of God] 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
